
Goa’s only airport Dabolim airport lies on the top of a rocky plateau, 4 kilometers southeast of Vasco-da-gama, the second city of Goa, 29 kilometers from the state capital Panaji. It has recently acquired a new terminal building. International flights from Qatar, Dubai, Sharjah & Kuwait in the Middle East and from Britain, Germany and Russia during the charter flight tourist season are operated in this airport. Air India, Go Air, Indian Airlines, Kingfisher Airlines, SpiceJet, Jet airways and Qatar Airlines besides charter flights from the UK, Russia and Germany operated by Thomas Cook, Condor, Monarch Airlines are the main flight carriers available here. Customs clearance facilities are also available here. Goa airport specially sees a huge crowd and busy terminals during the festival season of Christmas and New Year. Goa airport provides postal services, money exchange booths, banking services, duty free shopping facilities and free luggage trolleys. First Aid Medical Services are also available at Goa’s Dabolim Airport. The only limitation of Goa airport is that it has limited car parking area
